Staff Accountant
Staff Accountant role at top NYC investment bank for candidate with 1-2 years accounting/finance experience.
- General Ledger Operations & monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closes
- Accurate general ledger and the resultant managerial reports and financial statements
- General ledger account analysis, reconciliations, journal entries, accounts receivable
- Maintain and update strong control environment/audit documentation
- Prepare and review expense analysis and forecasting
- Respond and interact with various internal clients and colleagues (e.g., BU controllers, Budgeting, External reporting, HR, Legal, Tax, and Accounting Policies)
- Accounts payable, billings, and various other ad-hoc duties.
Staff Accountant Requirements:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of accounting/finance experience
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
- Experience with deferred compensation/investment accounting
- Proficient in Excel
- CPA candidate preferred
This Accountant contract position pays an annualized $54,000 ($26 per hour) and is expected to last at least 3 months.
