Are you a CPA with hedge fund accounting experience? Have strong knowledge of Avent Geneva and Partner? Are you able to communicate clearly and enjoy working with clients and managers?
We are seeking a Fund Accountant for one of the top investment banks in the world, working in Jersey City, New Jersey. Just a short commute from New York, NY, this position will be responsible for assisting in all accounting of offshore hedge funds and portfolios including reporting, calculations, filings and more. The ideal candidate for this position is a CPA with previous hedge fund experience and an expert at communicating with clients, managers and external parties. This position does have overtime eligibility.
Fund Accountant Responsibilities:
Develop various accounting reports including NAV’s, subscriptions, withdrawals, P&L statements, performance fees, and more
Analyze portfolios for accounting accuracy
Create financial statements and prepare tax returns
Ad hoc projects as needed in managing the fund fees, expenses and partnerships
Fund Accountant Requirements:
3+ years experience in hedge fund accounting
Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting with CPA or Public Accounting experience
Skilled using Avent Geneva and Partner
Strong understanding of investment products and accounting procedures
Excellent communication skills
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Flexible work schedule and ability to work long hours
This Fund Accountant role is a nyc finance project based position that is expected to last at least 6 months with possible direct hire and pays an annualized salary of $135,200 ($65 per hour/per day). Note: This position will require unusually long hours (10-12) at the beginning of each month and will revert to normal 8 hour days.
