Fund Accountant position at a top NYC investment bank. Responsibilities include working with offshore hedge funds, asset valuations, and performance reporting. 

Fund Accountant Responsibilities: 

  • Trade various securities and products with offshore hedge funds
  • Prepare monthly Net Asset Valuations for investors; handle investor activity, including subscriptions and withdrawals 
  • Calculation of performance fees and allocation of profits and losses for both fund managers and investors 
  • Preparation of tax accounting reports, returns, and financial statements 
  • Handle ad hoc reporting requests from fund managers and investors 
  • Handle payment of expenses and fees for the fund 

Fund Accountant Requirements:

  • 3 years Hedge Fund experience; Public accounting experience preferred 
  • Experience with Advent investment management software (Geneva and Partner) 
  • BA or BS with a focus in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred 
  • Robust knowledge of investment products, key terms and concepts 
  • Strong interpersonal relationship skills and capability to communicate and interact with multiple clients, managers, etc. 
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas and vocabulary 
  • Organization and critical thinking skills necessary 

This Fund Accountant contract position pays an annualized $135,000 ($65 per hour) and is expected to last at least 5 months.
