We are currently seeking a Senior Compliance Associate for a top New York City investment bank to serve as a resource on issues relating to compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in compliance, be an active leader and able to adapt quickly to changing situations.
Senior Compliance Associate Responsibilities:
Serve as a constant resource for any compliance issues, provide insight on new business proposals and changes, and assist with regulatory inquiries
Design and facilitate in-person and online training sessions regarding internal policies and procedures
Develop controls and surveillance in accord with laws and regulations as well as internal policies
Construct a testing and review system to verify the effectiveness of surveillance and controls
Complete risk assessments on business units for risk management team and reporting purposes
Senior Compliance Associate Requirements:
5+ years experience in Financial Services and Compliance
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related field
Previous experience working with structured finance and real estate compliance processes
Highly adept communication skills (both written and oral) for client interactions
Expert-knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
Ability to work independently as well as an excellent team-player
Strong prioritization skills required
This Senior Compliance Associate role is a consulting position that is expected to last at least three (3) months with the possibility of direct hire and pays an annualized salary of $166,400 ($80/hour).
