We are seeking a Compliance Specialist for a top New York City investment bank, working with all areas of the banking divisions compliance activities including provide advice for regulatory processes and issues, perform risk analysis, and create testing procedures and multiple checks to ensure continued compliance.
Compliance Specialist Responsibilities:
Assist in all aspects of compliance issues, regulations, and procedures
Provide guidance to senior managers, colleagues and other business units on industry, new compliance policies and other issues
Advise senior management on strategic decisions based on your compliance expertise
Design new policies, procedures, tests, controls and reporting procedures for the organization to ensure compliance
Perform regular risk assessments and reports
Compliance Specialist Requirements:
Bachelors degree from a top university and JD
5 – 7 years experience in the Finance Industry
Strong background in compliance, regulatory matters and legal issues in Finance
Experience working with real estate and structured finance
Expert communication skills
Fast learner and able to multitask
Enthusiastic team player, but able to continually self motivate and manager
This Compliance Specialist role is a consulting position that is expected to last at least 3 months with possible direct hire and pays an annualized salary of $208,000 ($800/per day).
