Content/SEO Marketing – Fall Internship Opportunity
Do you enjoy telling stories and are a creative writer? Are you up to date on industry and pop culture topics? Do you have an ability to elaborate on a specific topic to showcase various points of views, express opinions or educate? Have a strong understanding of SEO principles and practices?
We are seeking a fall Content/SEO Marketing Intern to interact and assist in the development of all written and video marketing content including job search and finance industry educational blog content, job descriptions, infographics, webinars, in person events, etc. This is an internship opportunity for the Fall 2012 semester and you will be working directly under the Marketing Manager learning first hand how content is the key piece of all new media communications and marketing plans.
Content/SEO Marketing Intern Responsibilities:
Assist in development of content and delivery of all messages to community (ie. blog, youtube channel, twitter, facebook, pinterest, eblasts, webinars, etc)
Brainstorm new ideas for content including seasonal, popular and news related topics
Write original content and coordinate outside contributors
Create charts, graphs and infographics
Identify opportunities for link sharing and content partnerships with other organizations online
Work with Social Media Marketing Intern as needed on developing new strategies and marketing initiatives
Content/SEO Marketing Intern Requirements:
3rd or 4th Year College Student, Working towards Bachelors Degree in Communication, Journalism, English, Marketing or Related Field
Prior work experience in Content Development and/or Writing
Strong knowledge of SEO, content marketing and general marketing principles
Knowledge of the Financial Services or Job Search Education Industry a plus
Working knowledge of WordPress CMS, CSS and HTML
Advanced skills using MS Office Word, Power Point, and Excel
Strong writing skills with a focus on professional yet creative commentary
Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks across projects
This Content/SEO Marketing Intern position is for about a 3 month period to begin Mid-August and can be applied as school credit. Hours for this position are flexible but will be in office for about 15-20 hours per week.
