Business Analyst position at a top New York City investment bank, working to improve business process by assessing and evaluating user procedures.
Business Analyst Responsibilities:
- Analyze current operational procedures and identify problems
- Write detailed description of user needs, as well as functional and/or technical specifications
- Review current business process, workflow and scheduling limitations
- Study existing information-processing systems to evaluate effectiveness and develop new system specifications to improve production or workflow as required
- Prepare workflow charts and diagrams
- Assist with projects related to account conversion and on-boarding accounts onto our back-office platform
- Checking reports to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of client mailings
- Processing incoming inquiries
- Support operational personnel
- Make outbound contact both in writing and verbally with branch staff and vendors
Business Analyst Requirements:
- 4-6 years experience in financial services
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience in domestic and international proxy processing from the broker-dealer prospective
- Familiarity with back-office processing systems
- Strong Excel skills
- Excellent multitasking ability
- Ability to work independently
- Detail-oriented
- Experience in Broker-dealer account conversion and class actions claim notification process a plus.
This Business Analyst position pays an annualized $91,500 ($44.00 per hour) and is expected to last at least 3 months.
